David Pogue, New York Times Personal Technology Columnist, “When Phone Meets Internet”
|
Taking the consumer perspective, New York Times Personal Technology Columnist,
David Pogue, gave an entertaining yet informative lecture on the usability of many
new solutions in the telco market. In addition to his survey of market breakthroughs
that truly help answer the consumer’s communication needs, he revealed some of his
musical talent with songs of the telco trials and tribulations, such as his version
of “The Sounds of Silence” referring to the long silences of listening to his voicemail.
David noted that Comverse was ahead of the pack with its innovations and ideas,
and particularly in its preceding the iPhone with offering visual voicemail.
