When discovering Porto, you will find many wonderful surprises among its streets, architecture, monuments and museums, terraces, restaurants and shopping areas. Where to have fun Porto's cultural life goes far beyond its historical sites. The main points in town for night entertainment are located in the old historical center known as Ribeira, as well as in one of the most cosmopolitan quarters known as Foz, located on the ocean front. There you may find a wide choice of bars, pubs and discotheques – all ready to welcome and offer you moments of relaxation and celebration "after hours". Where to shop Porto has become a privileged spot to do your shopping. You will find here Portuguese handicrafts, the traditional markets and fairs, as well as modern shopping centers. The most attractive areas for shopping are either Rua Santa Catarina located in the heart of the town where you will find many examples of the old traditional Portuguese shops mixed with some well known international names. Visit also the Boavista quarters where modern shops and some shopping centers offer you a different and attractive atmosphere.
